MARSH HARBOUR

    Marsh Harbour is the central hub for Abaco and is the largest town with a population of around 8,000 people. It is the central business district for Abaco with five banks, major food stores and Hardware supply stores. Marsh Harbour is also home to Abacos largest resort, The Great Abaco Beach Resort and Marina, several other marinas on the harbour, and Albury’s Ferry that services the central Cays.

     Most persons visiting central Abaco will fly into Marsh Harbour and either drive or take a ferry to their destination. Ferries for Man O War, Hope Town, Guana Cay, Scotland Cay, and Lubbers depart from here. Boat Rentals and car rentals are all here and make for an easy start to ones trip. 

    The areas of Real Estate for Marsh Harbour are mainly Pelican Shores, Eastern Shores, The Great Abaco Club, and a new development called Sunrise Bay. These areas are all relatively central and most offer sea views, sea access, and dockage. Real Estate in Marsh Harbour is always in demand due to its location and easy access to all the surrounding Cays. A day trip to say Hope Town or Guana Cay for lunch is very common.
